3 months

jane is officially 3 months old. according to all the books and experts, this is the time when they become less fussy and are a joy to have around. at first, i didn't believe them. around 2 1/2 months, jane started crying more than ever. she seemed really over tired and was having trouble with everything else because of exhaustion. she would have about 1 hour total of happiness each day. jane would not take naps. after much frustration, i decided to let jane cry herself to sleep. i had read a book on baby sleep habits and how to help infants learn to sleep. the first day, jane cried for 40 minutes straight and then fell asleep for over a half hour. this was a first. normally her naps are less than 10 minutes when they should be 2 hours. since that day, i have continued with this routine. she now takes 1-2 hour naps every day. she is much happier, and so am i. jane also is developing and changing so much. she is grabbing things pretty well and is rolling over more. she loves her bath time and loves to be bounced on the bed. jane still hasn't laughed yet, which we are very anxious for. it will probably be any day now. jane is just the best.
