politics

yesterday, nate came home from work and was telling me about his day. the radio was on and talking about politics and they mentioned hillary clinton and her campaign for presidency. one of nate's co workers then said, 'hillary clinton is running for president?'. i was shocked! also, earlier that week, nate's boss had nate describe the difference between conservative and liberal. nate's co workers are not stupid by any means, they are just very uninformed.

february 5 is 'super tuesday'. meaning, a lot of states vote in a primary (not all states, but most) and whoever has the most delegates (votes) will end up being the candidates representing the republican and democratic party. thus far, there are two major players on each side. democrats have hillary clinton and barack obama. republicans have john mccain and mitt romney
Hillary Clinton Barack Obama John McCain (R)

all the candidates have strengths and they all have weaknesses. it is a very close race and i feel that it is very important that we all invest a little of our time on this election. i also think that it is very important to educate ourselves on the issues at hand. figure out where you stand on the issues and then figure out which candidate agrees.

if you live where you can vote on february 5 (and you are registered to vote), please vote. if you live in utah, you can vote. every vote counts. below are some links to candidate websites and other information.

take a short quiz to see which candidate matches the issues important to you. go here.

hillary clinton

barack obama

john mccain

mitt romney
