stitches

yesterday i got a call from the school telling me that jane had fallen and i needed to come and get her. she had been climbing the climbing wall at the playground during morning recess and lost her balance and fallen chin first into the wood chips. we spent the rest of the afternoon in the er. jane needed 8 stitches in her chin. it was a very traumatic experience, well, the numbing shot was traumatic (and not just for jane). once that was done, jane was happy to watch tv as the doctor stitched her up. i am so proud of how brave she was. she was happy to go back to school today and take her school pictures. this is a day we will never forget....
